The town of Beaumaris in Anglesey is home to one of the oldest houses in the UK.
We are admiring it when we notice a rather splendid car coming round the corner.
It is followed by more of the same. I manage to photograph most of them as they go by. A Concours d’Elegance it is not, but it is an impressive parade of what I think are vintage Bentley and Rolls Royce, although many of them appear to be the same model, at least to my inexperienced eye. There is no fanfare and no signs of what it is all about, but if you are interested in vintage cars you might like to see the photos. If you are not interested, you can skip this blog
As I scrolled down I kept expecting one of them to be driven by Mr Toad. Poop, Poop.
I see that after the red car went by, the two ladies watching the cars go by , tired and left. AND YESSSSS, those are all splendid cars.
Fabulous; have saved the photos…….some of you know that I do love old cars (and old men)…classics each and every one! Many thanks.
Char. we did know about you enthusiasm for classic men, but not for cars! I hope you have as much fun with the cars as you do with the men!
My dear departed parents were both Welsh, married in Lanfairfechan (across the Menai Straits), and set up housekeeping on Anglesey, where my father was the local Customs and Excise Officer. Spent summers there in my late teens and even waitressed at a frightful teashop/cafe in Beaumaris.
Happy to bring back memories – and for no charge!
I like the two-tone blue convertible, with a drive in matching hat and coat.
